The FakeTube shader pack is a collection of 16 assets that can be used to improve scene details by adding realistic tube and pipe visualizations. This pack includes customizable effects such as fog, heat, distortion, parallax, rotation, and light emitting. The shader is optimized for fast performance and can be used with Built-in, URP, and HDRP pipelines. It can be applied to a single quad or plane attached to walls, floor, or any object without requiring changes to scene geometry.

The performance of the FakeTube shader is comparable to a standard Unity shader, with approximately 450 math operations compared to 250 for the standard shader. In a full HD scene with a GTX1070, the FakeTube shader can achieve around 300 fps, while the standard shader can achieve around 330 fps.
The shader has some limitations, including the inability to receive shadows from outside to inside, which can be adjusted using the FakeShadow property. It is assumed that the quad or object orientation conforms to a standard Unity quad. The shader works with Unity's orthographic camera and has more than 30 properties, some of which are customizable.
