MeshForge is a robust editor tool that enables users to split both skinned and static meshes into grouped parts, making characters more modular. This allows for easy swapping of parts, such as hands or heads, and the creation of modular meshes for reuse in various scenarios. The tool currently contains five primary tools: Mesh Rebaker, Splitter, Gap Filler, Skinned Mesh Combiner, and Topology Splitter. All assets used with MeshForge retain their original properties, making it a non-destructive workflow. The tool is not a 3D model creation tool, but rather works with existing assets to create modular parts. Future updates include plans for one-shot features, runtime features, and editor features, such as mesh slicing and breakable environments.
MeshForge is currently an Editor only tool, not supporting runtime operations. It is supported for use with Windows. Future updates may include runtime support.
