The Enemies package is a demonstration of Unity's capabilities for creating high-end, visually compelling content. It features all HDRP features, including Adaptive Probe volumes and Screen Space Global Illumination (SSGI), as well as real-time ray traced reflections, ray traced ambient occlusion, and native support for NVIDIA's Deep Learning Super Sampling (DLSS). The package also includes a new strand-based hair solution for authoring, importing, simulating, and rendering hair. The demo runs at 4K with image quality comparable to native resolution.
To import the Enemies package, follow these instructions:
- The project uses many package dependencies and will need to restart the editor upon import.
- Currently, DX12 and Input System will ask for this restart, but it may interrupt the process of importing the asset files.
- If this happens, hit the Import button a second time in the Package Manager for the Enemies Assets to be brought into the Project View.
The package includes:
- Skin Attachment system on the GPU for high-density meshes
- More realistic eyes with caustics on the iris
- A new skin shader
- Tension tech for blood flow simulation and wrinkle maps, eliminating the need for a facial rig for fine details
- Strand-based Hair solution
