Sound xR Core for Windows is a spatial audio solution for earphones and headphones, also known as a binauralizer. It's based on Yamaha's ViReal total solution technology for immersive sound. This package provides a plug-in for developing Windows applications under the Unity environment, allowing you to create interactive and high-quality sound image localization and sound space in the application area of xReality.
The package consists of a plug-in in the Unity Package format and a 'read me' document in English and Japanese. For commercial use, a separate corporate contract is required. The license agreement is available on the official website.
The package's main functions include:
- Binauralizer: converts audio source to be spatialized
- HOA (Hight Order Ambisonics): plays an HOA file
- Audio source playback area setting function: controls the area in which audio sources are played
The package is compatible with Windows 10/11 (64 bits) and Unity 2020, 2021, 2022. It's recommended to turn off other spatializers. You can select from two HRTF characteristic sets used for spatial audio processing.
