The Hair Designer is a comprehensive package for generating dynamic hair and fur within the Unity editor. With a single component, you can paint strands on a mesh, add layers with different settings and materials, and control the polycount and material settings. The fur generator is easy to use, allowing you to draw fur on a model, and the included texture generator can create your own hair texture with automatic generation of diffuse, normal, AO, and specular/aniso settings.
The package also offers fast performance, with hair strands packed into a single mesh and motion computed by the GPU. Hair and fur are deformed in the same way as the original mesh, with animation following bone motion and inertia. The package includes add-ons for URP and HDRP compatibility, and supports short hair, long hair, and fur, but not advanced fur.
The source code is included in the PRO version, and the package is not compatible with mobile devices.
